Cellulite is chronic inflammation of loose skin tissue, which stimulates concentration of subcutaneous fat and which manifests itself as uneven, rough skin that resembles orange skin. In fact, this is why cellulite is often called “the syndrome of orange skin”. The term comes from the Latin word “celliulis” which means “granule”. 90% of women over 20 years old have some measure of cellulite.
FACTORS that influence the development of cellulite:
– genetic inheritance
– hormone influence
– passive lifestyle
– wrong diet
– some diseases: liver disorders, digestive disorders, thyroid diseases
– stress: the immune system is weakened, metabolism and lymph workings are impaired
– poor posture, weak muscles: blood circulation in the lower part of the body is declined, fluid is accumulated.
In most cases cellulite affects the hips, buttocks and abdomen areas, which can be treated by anti-cellulite massage.
Anti-cellulite massage is performed at our centre using a lymph massage technique combining that with a vacuum cup massage. Vacuum massages gently and effectively work on deeper layers of the skin, activates blood circulation and improves lymphatic drainage. The obtained result is far better than massage by hands only procedure. Anti-cellulite cream is used in order to facilitate massage results.
For treatment and prevention of cellulite we recommend combining anti-cellulite massage with honey massage, which is also offered at our centre.
